Nightmare! Our supplier for the card game and the one for our collectors tin have informed us that due to Covid-19 costs have increased. This is not what we needed so close to the end!
I spent days before sorting out all the costs to find out now that I need to do them all again because of the price increase! Nothing I can do, I have tried to barter and state we were quoted prices but they have said basically pay more or it will not happen.
This is a total nightmare but we are stuck, they have told use the new prices and we had to make a choice, charge more for the game, cancel the game or make even less profit. We have decided to make less profit!
We might struggle at first but looking at costs we believe we can make it through with the profit we plan to make, it will be tight but we do not want to increase the price of the game or cancel it.
This does mean that we have to rework out all our goals (edited a post to reflect this) we now need £3000 to start the game and £9000 to release every tier! It still is not a huge amount compared to some games but we really wanted to try and keep it lower but we can not.
We hope that gamers out there see that we have done what we wanted to release a brilliant game for a low price even with the increase in the game costs. We are annoyed that we had to raise our targets but we can not help this.
